Tips for Senior Portraits

Don’t wait to schedule your senior portrait session! The earlier you book, the more choices you’ll have for dates and times. Sessions fill up fast, especially toward the end of summer, and fall availability is extremely limited.  Check your email for a link to your school's available dates.

Secure your spot now so you can relax and enjoy the rest of your summer—knowing you’re all set. Our goal is to make sure every Class of 2026 Senior is proudly represented in the yearbook with an amazing portrait!

Your session starts at the time your appointment is scheduled. That means you should be ready and in front of the camera—not still getting dressed or touching up hair and makeup.

Please allow yourself plenty of time before your appointment to get ready. On warmer days, you might also need a few extra minutes to cool down so you don’t arrive looking red or sweaty.

If you are not on time, you may need to reschedule all or part of your session, and we want to make sure you get the full experience!

 To help you get the best possible portraits, only the photographer and the subject are allowed in the camera room during the session.

Don’t worry—our photographers are experts at making you feel comfortable and capturing genuine, natural expressions. You've got this—and we’ve got you!

This is your moment—so be yourself and wear what makes you feel confident, whether that's dressy or casual (unless your school has a specific dress code).

Each senior session includes one outfit.
Want more variety? Just book two sessions back-to-back to fit in a second look!

• Dress from head to toe—some shots will include more of your body, not just head and shoulders. (Guys, a shirt and tie with gym shorts? Not the vibe.)
   
• Hands and fingers show in some poses, so make sure your nails are clean and neat.

•  Ladies, choose something that makes you feel beautiful and confident, while also being modest and appropriate for school portraits. Tops that are too revealing or too short can limit posing options and may not photograph well.
   
• Avoid stripes and plaid—solid colors photograph best.
   
• Skip shirts with text or logos (unless it’s your school logo).
  

• Don’t forget the shoes! A suit with old tennis shoes won’t work for full-length shots.
   

Plan your outfit completely and come camera-ready. We’re here to help you look your best—let’s make it amazing!

We understand that "life happens" and you might need to postpone or cancel your appointment.  

• We do require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or changes.
• Late cancellations or no-shows will result in forfeiture of your session fee.

Students arriving more than 5 minutes late will be considered a no-show and will need to reschedule.
